Should I play borderlands online straight away or do the campaign on single player?

I have just bought the game borderlands and I cant decide whether to play single or multiplayer. Which is more fun to do?? and is it any easier if you go on multiplayer?? Do you level up faster in online play?? thanks :)
If you got friends that have the game you can go through the storyline in co-op, more people mean more money and better loot.
Meh, Both are fun persay



But playing solo through the whole game

is fun and rewarding aswell as challenging



and after you beat it

you can go through it again in hard mode

where you continue from the level you beat the game at
The loot is better online as multiple people makes for better loot tables.
if you have friends who already has played the game and are at level 20 or something you should play solo because if your partner is levels higher than you he will get all the kills.



But if your about 1 or 2 levels away from each other you should play cause that way it will still be fun.



(p.s) and the online leveling is about the same :P
