I am having an argument with my friends over whether or not Pokemon is in fact an RPG, and I want to see what the rest of the world thinks. As I see it, it is not an RPG as it does not have any open-ended goals or an ending to the story line that changes based on past actions and events. Its more of an adventure/action game with a sprinkle of RPG elements.
